Has the Washington state Liquor Control Board ever released a more anticipated list than the one it released this morning — the list of the retail marijuana shops that are licensed to start selling cannabis on July 8?

And here it is: The 24 Washington marijuana shops that are licensed to start selling retail cannabis to consumers 21 and older on July 8 — and, imagine this, only one of them is in Seattle. The Associated Press reported Monday night that only six stores were planning to open Tuesday (marked with x-). Others said they would open in the coming weeks or that they weren’t sure when they’d have marijuana to sell.
