POLL: Will retail cannabis sales in Washington hurt the state’s image?

Humans are a funny lot. We’ll make bold changes or dramatic statements — and then we’ll look around to see what those around us think about what we just did.

A few months after Colorado began its sales of recreational marijuana, 51 percent of Coloradans said they thought legalization had been bad for the state’s image — even though 58 percent of people in the same poll said they continued to support cannabis legalization.

Since Washington state begins its legal retail marijuana sales on July 8, what do you think? Will retail cannabis sales in the Pacific Northwest hurt Washington’s image?
