Comedian Hannibal Burress

Watch comic Hannibal Buress visit Native Roots pot shop in Denver

Comedian Hannibal Buress has posted videos of himself visiting crawfish boils and Cracker Barrels on his “Comedy Camisado” tour, so it’s not too surprising that the New York-based stand-up would stop by one of Denver’s many legal-weed shops while he was in town.

Buress, who’s becoming increasingly hard to miss on shows like “Broad City,” “The Eric Andre Show” and his own, new Comedy Central series “Why?” (premiering July 8), offers some typically bemused, slightly detached, always quick-witted reactions to various products at a Native Roots Apothecary location.

Budtender Graham gamely plays along as Buress riffs on the merchandise, including flower, sex lube and CannaPunch. But Buress isn’t a dyed-in-the-wool stoner, as he’s quick to point out.

“I don’t smoke that much,” he says. “The worst thing is having a paranoid crisis in a place you’re not familiar with.”
