POLL: Should Colorado ban pot-infused edibles?

The big news out of a Colorado workgroup meeting on Oct. 20 has the national marijuana industry ablaze with concern: Will there soon be a ban on most cannabis-infused edibles?

Colorado health officials on Monday proposed the ban on most edible forms of marijuana, including brownies, cookies and most candies, limiting legal sales of pot-infused food to lozenges and some liquids. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s reasoning? Many forms of edible marijuana “are naturally attractive to children,” they said, and violate the law’s “requirement to prevent the marketing of marijuana products to children.”
