See astrophysicist Tyson watch self in “stoned” slo-mo viral video

Some subversive YouTube genius thought it would be funny to take a video of astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson discussing Isaac Newton and rock it in slow motion.

And that person was right.

The altered video (above) made Tyson seem stoned and quickly went viral, and Tyson himself even tweeted it out last week: “Simultaneously disturbing & hilarious: My Isaac Newton interview in slow motion.”

Tyson wasn’t stoned, but … Bill Maher did get stoned to watch the Tyson-narrated “Cosmos,” as he told “Family Guy” creator and “Cosmos” producer Seth MacFarlane in this video

Tyson took it one step further on March 21 by playing the video during a lecture at the University of Toronto: “I didn’t do this. Somebody did this. And here it is.” The crowd’s reaction is really spectacular, especially in the last minute when Tyson’s slo-mo’d hand gestures and facial expressions make him look truly dazed and confused.
