Two people have been arrested after authorities found an illegal marijuana grow and suspected butane hash oil operation inside a Pueblo West home.

Reinaldo Castillo, 53, and Jose Castillo, 52, were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of multiple marijuana charges and conspiracy, according to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators went to a home in the 500 block of North Raymont Drive on a report of an illegal marijuana grow, according to a news release. Inside the home, detectives found 146 marijuana plants, “well above the limit” allowed by law.

“In addition to the grow operation, detectives discovered the residents were actively manufacturing hash oil using butane and commercial-grade extraction equipment,” the release said.

A search warrant was executed and the residents were arrested. Both men were booked into the Pueblo County jail. An investigation is ongoing.
