Seventeen-year-old Ryan Hardwick was just 15 when he and Deauntay (dee-AWN’-tay) Moye killed 21-year-old Stephanie Waters in January 2015.
She met the teens after she agreed to sell them marijuana on her boyfriend’s behalf. Instead, Moye shot her and Hardwick killed her dog and the teens drove around smoking the marijuana as she lay dying in the back seat. Moye was 16.
Hardwick, of Martinsburg, and Moye, of Woodbury, had previously pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and other charges.
Hardwick was sentenced Tuesday by a Bedford County judge. Moye will be sentenced Dec. 2.
