The New York Times says an agreement brokered with the Parks Department calls for a group of neighborhood residents to run the Green Gem garden in Brooklyn’s East New York.
The city closed the garden on May 31 after marijuana was found growing among the fruit trees and collard greens.
Green Gem’s founder said the illicit plants were the work of a rogue gardener who’s no longer there.
