Waynesboro police say that on Wednesday, officers intercepted the package for Dewitt that was sent to another Waynesboro address by mistake.
Police say the package, which contained two pounds of marijuana, was sent to the Waynesboro address from someone in Montrose, Colorado, through the U.S. Postal Service.
Dewitt was arrested after authorities set up a sting operation in which Dewitt was contacted and told he could pick up his package.
It isn’t immediately clear if he has an attorney.
