• The wonder of California youths who have never known a world with true prohibition.

SCOTUS won’t hear Colorado pot case: The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to hear Nebraska and Oklahoma’s proposed lawsuit against Colorado’s legal marijuana laws. The 6-2 vote means the nation’s highest court will not rule on the interstate dispute, and Colorado’s legal cannabis market is safe — for now. –Report by The Denver Post’s John Ingold and The Cannabist’s Ricardo Baca

Richard Branson sees how Colorado’s pot tax is put to use: After corporate mogul Richard Branson celebrated the launch of his airline Virgin America’s service to Denver International Airport on March 15, the self-made billionaire quietly toured a north Denver substance abuse treatment facility that receives some of its budget from marijuana taxes, The Cannabist has learned. Branson’s team instigated the short meeting — with representatives from the marijuana industry and officials from the Colorado Department of Human Services — via a call to Colorado’s director of marijuana coordination Andrew Freedman. –Report by The Cannabist’s Ricardo Baca
