Third suspect in VIP Cannabis raids to plead guilty in federal court

A third man snared by federal raids on Colorado medical marijuana businesses has filed a court document indicating he plans to plead guilty.

Gerardo Uribe filed a document called a “notice of disposition” Thursday in federal court in Denver. Such a notice is typically filed when a defendant has reached a plea agreement.

Uribe was one of four men charged after federal raids on the now-defunct VIP Cannabis dispensary and related properties.

Two co-defendants, including Uribe’s brother, Luis, have pleaded guilty in deals with federal prosecutors.

A fourth man, attorney David Furtado, is trying to get the case against him thrown out.
