Here’s what’s happening on The Cannabist Show, episode No. 9, featuring guests Christian Hageseth of Green Man Cannabis (and the new book “Big Weed”) and Nancy Whiteman of Wana Edibles.
Top cannabis news: Cannabist marijuana editor Ricardo Baca, fresh home from a Canada trip, says, “I think I might have seen Colorado’s future while I was in Toronto. And the future looks like a bar, sans the alcohol, that is so hot-boxed you can’t help but giggle once you walk in.” Baca talks about his trip through Toronto’s famed vape lounges before delving into some bold comments made this week by Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper.
Hickenlooper, at the Milkin Institute Global Conference this week, had some positive words for legalization. He told Fox Business that marijuana is “not as vexing as we thought it was going to be.” And that’s a big change from calling it “reckless.”
We spoke with legalization advocate Mason Tvert about Hickenlooper’s comments, and he said, “Polls show more voters support the law now than did when it was approved, and it appears he might be a part of that late majority.”
