In the super-saturated market for body cream, many are fairly forgettable. So it bodes well for Hemp & Honey Plus that just as soon as I opened and lathered on the company’s Vanilla and Matcha Green Tea Body Cream, I refused to let that little tub out of my sight.

Because when a lotion smells as nice as this one and works equally well, it is ripe for the plucking by a well-meaning family member who probably has skin that’s just as parched as my own.

Every product from Hemp & Honey Plus, an Ohio-based body care company that’s part of a larger, family run, hemp development business called HempStrong, starts with emollient Canadian hemp-seed oil, which devotees believe has medicinal benefits, and detoxifying Manuka honey from New Zealand.
For this particular hemp body cream, the nature-minded base formula is enhanced with vanilla — the aroma-therapeutic benefits of which include relaxing the mind, easing respiratory stress and serving as a mild aphrodisiac — and Matcha green tea, which offers a counterbalance to the vanilla in this cream by lending refreshing, restorative properties.
I found this fragrance to be pleasant as opposed to overbearing, and the cream itself stood up impressively well to Colorado’s moisture-depleting elements.
