The City of Denver has begun auctioning off the assets — sans pot — of several medical marijuana business that were raided by the federal government last year.
Auctioneer Rich Schur announced the sales in a news release Friday. He said the assets were seized to pay for back taxes. In total, the assets of three stores and three grows connected to the operators of VIP Cannabis will be sold.
The first auction, for items from the former Herbology dispensary, are being sold as a group on Schur Success Auction and Appraisal’s website.
