After making an on-point Donald Sterling/”Duck Dynasty” joke — but before introducing his guests Seth Green and Dave Attell — talk show host Conan O’Brien cracked wise Wednesday on the recently announced marijuana-friendly Colorado Symphony Orchestra concerts.
“The Colorado Symphony Orchestra announced it will play a series of ‘cannabis friendly’ concerts,” O’Brien started. “The first one is Sunday, and they’ll be playing Beethoven’s 420 Symphony.”
After one guy in the audience let out a semi-excited “whoo,” O’Brien spoke directly to the audience member.
“The ‘whoo’ was unnecessary, sir,” said O’Brien. “I knew you were high when I came out. You were facing the wrong way.”

The CSO concerts, organized by pot-friendly promoter Edible Events, will start May 23 with three bring-your-own-marijuana events at the Space Gallery in Denver’s Santa Fe arts district and culminate with a large, outdoor performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Sept. 13.
While Red Rocks is certainly no stranger to open marijuana consumption, organizers are reminding concertgoers that the Red Rocks show isn’t being promoted as a BYOC event — regardless of its sponsors and affiliation with the cannabis industry.
