Plan ahead: Method and Red, Cypress Hill to play Denver fest on 4/20/15

Remember what 4/20 looked like last year, Denver? All that music — and all those other events. Many would argue there was too much going on last 4/20.

So why not announce your 4/20 music festival five months in advance?

Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom will host the 420 in the Streets festival on Welton Street in front of the rock club (at 2637 Welton St.) at 1 p.m. April 20, 2015. Sure, it’s a school day — and a Monday, no less — but the line-up will surely bring out the faithful: Method Man and Redman, Cypress Hill and Collie Buddz will head things up, and others will surely be announced.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Nov. 28 (a.k.a. Black Friday) at the early-bird price of $25.

UPDATE: Cypress Hill along with Method and Red will also play an indoor set at Cervantes the night before 420 in the Streets on April 19. Tickets, $42-$75, go on sale at 10 a.m. March 6.

The only other 4/20 announcements that we’ve seen are from the big boys, the 420 Rally and the Cannabis Cup. Both events are running April 18-20, 2015, according to their websites. And while both events will offer their own slate of concerts, those acts have yet to be announced.
