Free pot for veterans: Colo. group plans giveaway

WOODLAND PARK — A Colorado group plans to give free marijuana and marijuana growing supplies to United States military veterans.

Operation Grow4Vets said it is launching Project Better Medicine to give veterans the “best medical treatment” available.

A legislative committee voted last week to deny medical marijuana to Colorado citizens suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

However, giving away recreational marijuana is legal under Colorado law.
