Four men were sentenced in the killing of a 26-year-old man whom they attempted to rob during an illegal marijuana sale in 2017, according to the Denver District Attorney’s Office.
Joshua Hughes of Montana was in Denver to buy two pounds of marijuana for $3,000 via a deal through the Commerce City Kush Club website, a news release from the DA’s Office said. Police found him lying in the street with four gunshot wounds on Aug. 20, 2017, in the 500 block of Titan Court. He later died of his injuries at Denver Health Medical Center.
