Father and son arrested in connection with illegal marijuana grow in Cripple Creek

Two men have been arrested in connection with an illegal marijuana grow operation near a high school in Cripple Creek, according to the Teller County Sheriff’s Office.

Michael Gravino Jr., 40, and Michael Gravino Sr., 64, were arrested and charged with offenses related to marijuana, a Class 2 drug felony, and special drug offender, a Class 1 drug felony, according to a news release. They are being held in the Teller County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

The Teller County Narcotics Team conducted an investigation into two residents who were allegedly growing marijuana and shipping it to locations out of state via the U.S. Postal Service, including to Texas and Florida.
