‘Rolling Papers’: First look at SXSW documentary on pot journalism in CO

The SXSW-premiering documentary film “Rolling Papers” — which follows Denver Post and Cannabist journalists, critics and columnists covering the first year of legal marijuana sales in the modern world — released its first clip today.

Deadline Hollywood debuted the clip — a scene introducing two central characters in the documentary, Denver Post editor Greg Moore and Post marijuana editor Ricardo Baca.

The documentary released a short video clip last year as a part of its successful $50,000 Kickstarter campaign — but the above clip is a scene from the actual film debuting in Austin next month.

“Rolling Papers” will screen three times during SXSW: It will premiere at 9:30 p.m. March 15 at the Vimeo Theater, 201 Trinity St. It will also show at 7:30 p.m. March 17 at Alamo Lamar B (1120 S. Lamar Blvd.) and at 2:15 p.m. March 21 at the Stateside Theatre (719 Congress Ave.).
