Colorado’s top federal prosecutor is testified Tuesday at a Congressional hearing on his office’s approach to marijuana legalization in the state.
The hearing, before a subgroup of the U.S. House’s Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, is titled, “Mixed Signals: The Administration’s Stance on Marijuana.” It is the sequel to a similarly titled hearing last month, at which Republicans expressed concerns over marijuana legalization and Democrats hammered a White House drug-policy official for placing marijuana in the same category of dangerousness as heroin.
Colorado U.S. Attorney John Walsh was the second speaker scheduled for Tuesday’s hearing.
