Marijuana dispensary burglars lead Denver police on chase

Pursuit ends in crash on I-70 ramp

Denver police have arrested one woman in connection with the Friday morning smash-and-grab burglary of a marijuana dispensary, but are still looking for two male accomplices following a police chase and collision early Friday morning, authorities say.

Police also are seeking two male suspects, said spokesman Sonny Jackson.

No other information was available about the arrested suspect.

Police were called about 4 a.m. to a burglary at a marijuana dispensary and warehouse on the 4000 block of Jackson Street. When they arrived in the neighborhood, three suspects took off in a car, according to police. A chase ensued.

It ended when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The car ran off the left side of the Interstate 70 ramp at Colorado Boulevard and crashed, Jackson said. Two suspects took off running, and the woman was arrested.

Police set up a perimeter and asked neighbors to stay in their homes while officers searched the area. The eastbound ramp onto I-70 was briefly closed after the crash, tying up some Friday commute traffic, according to police.
