PORTLAND, Ore. — The World Famous Cannabis Cafe in Portland has remained open and smoky despite new indoor air provisions that took effect Jan. 1.
The Oregonian reports that while the cafe is operating as business as usual, a Multnomah County spokeswoman says they have already received a complaint about smoking in the establishment and officials plan to send owner Madeline Martinez a letter reminding her of the law.

Spokeswoman Julie Sullivan-Springhetti says a county code enforcement officer plans to visit within 30 days to make sure Martinez is in compliance.
Lawmakers have expanded Oregon’s Indoor Clean Air Act to include marijuana and prohibit vaporizers and e-cigarettes in public areas and work places.
Martinez says cannabis clubs should be added to the list of exemptions, which include cigar bars and smoke shops.
