A Pueblo County commissioner is proposing a ballot measure for a program to fund college scholarships through a marijuana excise tax.

Commissioner Sal Pace says he hopes the new measure will “give Pueblo kids a boost” and help fight college debt. The county commission is set to vote at their Monday meeting on whether or not the proposal will be placed on November election ballots. READ MORE

One of the largest marijuana advocacy organizations in the United States released a list Wednesday that ranks who it thinks are the most successful and influential Americans to ever ingest cannabis — and some of the names on the list might just surprise you.

According to the Marijuana Policy Project, the list of currently living notable cannabis consumers is meant to “identify individuals who have used marijuana and achieved high levels of success or influence.” To qualify for the list, they must be a U.S. citizen and have ingested cannabis at least once in their life. They don’t necessarily support marijuana law reform. READ MORE
