Man posts photos of himself with pot plants; now he’s facing charges

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Authorities have charged a man who they say posted online photos that showed him with marijuana plants he was growing at an abandoned lot in southern New Jersey.

Winslow Township police tell the Courier-Post of Cherry Hill that residents had recently reported that seven marijuana plants were on the property.

Around that same time, they say 20-year-old township resident Connor Kennedy allegedly posted numerous photos of himself with the marijuana plants on Instagram.

Authorities say GPS coordinates in the photos’ data led investigators to the grow site. And they allegedly found Kennedy tending to the crop during overnight hours.

A telephone number for Kennedy could not be located Sunday. The specific charges he faces have not been released.
