Watch Seth Rogen’s new film (with Seth Rogen himself) in Denver

UPDATE: Scroll down to see Seth Rogen’s promise.

Ready to get meta? Imagine yourself watching Seth Rogen’s latest film “The Interview” weeks ahead of its Christmas Day opening with the comedic actor in the audience with you.

Let it soak in. Rogen’s on the screen, and Rogen’s in the seat.

Rogen is everywhere — including getting high at the White House, apparently.

“The Interview” is Rogen and James Franco’s latest film, much of which is set in North Korea as it lampoons the country’s dictator Kim Jong-Un. Rogen and his “Interview” co-director Evan Goldberg will be in Denver on Dec. 8 for a special screening of the movie at the Sie FilmCenter, 2510 E. Colfax.

Reporting from the Dec. 8 screening: We were there — no weed, plenty of tequila at ‘The Interview’ in Denver with Seth Rogen

Rogen wanted to “light up inside the theater,” said the Denver Film Society: But that was a no-go, and that’s why Rogen’s studio moved the screening to a TBA venue

The screening is being organized by the Reel Social Club, the Denver Film Society’s young professionals group. And membership apparently has its privileges, because new and existing Reel Social Club members (with valid memberships as of Dec. 1) will have “the opportunity to RSVP to this invite-only event,” according to this early release. “This event is free for Reel Social Club members.”

You might even have a chance to ask Rogen and Goldberg a question, such as: “Seth, are you excited or worried that your new comedy — which is about an assassination plot on North Korean leader Kim Jong Un — has been considered an ‘act of war’ by the Asian country?”

How might he answer? Maybe we’ll find out.

UPDATE: We told you so — that Rogen was Colorado-bound. And now he’s saying it himself — and promising to get high with the audience in the movie theater, which could be problematic given Colorado’s public consumption laws.

“We are going to do a screening of #TheInterviewMovie in Colorado where I get baked with everyone first, and we can smoke weed in the theater,” Rogen tweeted on Nov. 25.

Now there’s a new way of attending “The Interview” screening. Interested film aficionados should send an email to RSVPTheInterviewDenver@gmail.com, Rogen said.
